27 January 09 - Tue The second day of the Lunar New Year. More visiting, collecting red packets and eating tid- bits. What do you expect? The typical procedure of the annual Lunar New Year. You know, it gets boring after awhile(no really! I'm not joking!). Anyway, instead of relatives visiting us today, my parents and I went out visiting. We woke up at 9am in the morning but it was about 11.30am when we left the house, as my father's cousin came to pay us a surprise visit. My parents and grandparents did not expect them to come so early as the told us they will come in the afternoon, and soon they were hiding in their rooms preparing the red packets for the children
 of my father's cousin.
We got out of the house in the end, and though we were slightly late, we still went to my granduncle's place to pay our respects before going to my great grandmother's place for lunch. We got lost on the way as she had shifted house and we end up taking a taxi even though we were planning to take a public bus there. Anyway we reached there in the end, with everyone else sitting round the television watching Bruce Almighty. Yea, we were the latest, but who cares? I got my food(its a buffet style)

and sat beside my close cousin, Bryan, and watched the television programme with them, occasionally interrupted by aunts and uncles giving me red packets and wishing me Happy New Year.
It was halfway through the show did the first group of people left the house. Bryan left soon after, saying that they have a friend whom they have to visit. And before I knew it, most of my relatives had already left, I watched finished the show and proceeded to have a second serving of food before my mother informed me that we will be leaving. We said our goodbyes and after asking directions on how to go to the correct bus stop, left the house.
We came back home and after a shower, its was dinner time. Now I am sitting down in front of my laptop typing this entry for today, feeling stuffed up. I will sign off from here, goodbye and once again, Happy Lunar New Year!!!
